Materials needed:
~ Baked teapot sugar cookies - You can get a similar cookie cutter HERE.
~ Royal icing
~ Edible gold dust - You can get it HERE.
~ Lemon extract
~ Food safe paint brush - You can get a pack HERE.
~ Piping bags
~ Scribe or toothpick
For this design, you only need white royal icing. You'll want medium consistency icing.
Step 1
Flood the body of the tea pot and the top of the lid. Let that sit for 5 minutes. Next, pipe the bottom, spout, handle, and the rest of the lid. Let the icing dry for about 30 minutes.
Step 2
In a new piping bag, cut a very small opening at the tip. Make some floral designs on the teapot. The designs can be very basic. You'll only want to pipe the outline of the flowers. Give the icing a couple of hours to dry before adding any gold dust.
Step 3
Next, mix a couple drops of lemon extract with a pinch of gold dust. Use a small paint brush and paint the floral designs.
