Materials needed:
~ Baked tree sugar cookies - You can get the cookie cutter HERE.
~ Royal icing
~ Edible gold dust - You can get it HERE.
~ Lemon extract
~ Food safe paint brush - You can get a pack HERE.
~ Piping bags
~ Scribe or toothpick
For this design, you only need white royal icing. You'll want medium consistency icing.
Step 1
Flood the entire cookie with the white royal icing. Use your scribe or toothpick to get rid of any bubbles or to even out the icing. Let the icing sit for about 30 minutes.
Step 2
In a new piping bag, cut a very small opening at the tip. Make some swirl designs across the tree. Add some random dots. Let icing completely dry. Give it a couple of hours!
Step 3
Next, mix a couple drops of lemon extract with a pinch of gold dust. Use a small paint brush and paint the swirls and random dots.
And that's all there is to it!
